- Heavy rainfall has been affecting central Bosnia and Herzegovina (in particular the Herzegovina-Neretva canton, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina) since 3 October in the evening (UTC), causing severe floods and flash floods and triggering landslides that have resulted in casualties and damage.
- Media report, as of 7 October, 18 fatalities, dozens people still missing and an uncertain number of injured people across the area of Jablanica town, Konjic town and Donja Jablanica village (Herzegovina-Neretva canton, approximately 70 km south-west of Sarajevo city). The Government of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina declared the state of emergency on 5 October for the territory of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- The Copernicus Emergency Management Service (EMS) was activated in rapid mapping mode () on 4 October in the afternoon and one map was produced so far.
- On 5 October, Bosnia and Herzegovina requested assistance from the Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM). Rescue teams from Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, and Montenegro and one ERCC Liaison Officer have been deployed. Albania, Türkiye, Montenegro, Hungary, and Romania offered over 5,500 shelter items.
- Over the next 72 hours, drier conditions are expected over the whole Bosnia and Herzegovina.
