- The humanitarian impact is worsening following floods and landslides that have primarily affected eastern Nepal.
- According to the Nepal Disaster Risk Reduction Portal, 48 people have died, including 37 in Ilam district due to landslides, while six people remain missing. A total of 1,684 houses have been affected, and 33 others have been damaged.
- From 7–8 October, moderate to locally heavy rainfall is expected across western Nepal, while moderate rain is forecast for the eastern provinces of the country.

- The humanitarian impact is still increasing following floods and landslides that have been affecting eastern Nepal since 3 October.
- The UN OCHA reported, as of 8 October, 51 fatalities, of whom 37 in Ilam district due to landslides, six missing people, and 47 injured people. Approximately 4,059 households have been affected, and some major highways have been cut off due to landslides.
- On 9 October, more rainfall is expected over the whole country; drier conditions are forecast on 10 October.
- Since 3 October, heavy rainfall has affected eastern Nepal, causing floods and triggering deadly landslides that resulted in casualties and significant damage.
- According to media reports, at least 44 people have died, while five others remain missing. The majority of the fatalities occurred in the Illam district, Koshi Province, where landslides swept away entire villages. Several roads, including major highways connecting the capital, Kathmandu, have been blocked by debris.
- Moderate rainfall is forecast for eastern Nepal over the next 24 hours.
