- A new tropical storm named ONE formed over the central Bay of Bengal in the morning (UTC) of 30 September and started moving north-west toward eastern India, strengthening. On 2 October at 0.00, its centre was located over the western Bay of Bengal, approximately 200 km south-est of the far north Andhra Pradesh state, with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h.
- ONE is expected to make landfall over the border area between the north-eastern Andhra Pradesh state and the south-eastern Odisha state on 25 October just after 12.00, with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h.
- Over the next 96 hours, heavy rainfall with locally very heavy rainfall is forecast over eastern, north-eastern and central India.
