South Kordofan in Sudan is witnessing a sharp escalation in violence and armed confrontations between parties to the conflict, leading to a severe deterioration of security and living conditions. This escalation has resulted in the siege of large areas and obstruction of humanitarian access, placing civilians’ lives at risk and exacerbating their daily suffering. 

Humanitarian Conditions

Civilians in South Kordofan are experiencing acute shortages of food, clean water, and healthcare due to the ongoing blockade and obstacles hindering access for humanitarian aid. This situation has forced many families into internal displacement or reliance on extremely limited resources, with older persons, children, and women facing heightened and continuous risks.
