About this course
By the end of
the course, participants are expected to be able to:
- Understand the legal and ethical
foundations of minimum humanitarian standards, including the Humanitarian
Charter, Protection Principles, and Quality & Accountability frameworks.
- Comprehend the technical content of
the Sphere standards across key sectors: WASH, Health, Shelter, and Food
Security.
- Analyze how to adapt and apply these
standards within the operational contexts of local organizations in the Global
South, considering cultural, social, and institutional needs.
- Design an institutional action plan
for their organization to integrate minimum humanitarian standards into its
policies, operational plans, and procedures.
- Apply monitoring and evaluation
tools related to these standards within organizational activities, contributing
to improved intervention quality and accountability to affected communities.
- Strengthen collaboration and
partnerships among local organizations, beneficiary communities, and donors to
ensure genuine adherence to standards and maximize impact.
